I hope you enjoy finding inspiration in prior sessions, guidance, and a few of my favorite things. All this provides a seamless approach to preserving your family’s most cherished seasons.
Summer camp is always such a great experience for families. It gives your child a way to break up the monotony of summer as they explore their interests and build new friendships. Meanwhile, it gives you a bit of a break from the craziness of summer vacation. It’s an absolute win/win! If you are looking for the perfect summer camps in Virginia Beach for your child, I’m going to share some I think you will love! As a Virginia Beach motherhood photographer, I love chatting with parents about the best local spots. Here are the summer camps in Virginia Beach I always recommend!
717 General Booth Blvd., Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451
If your child has a passion for science, I think they will positively adore the Virginia Aquarium camps. These sessions are available for kids of all ages, starting at the age of 4. Your child will be able to learn about the animals, play in the water, create maps, and explore different local attractions. They also have camps for teens ages 12-15 where they can learn what a career in marine biology would look like. Just a heads up, these camps are extremely popular and tend to sell out. Don’t drag your feet if you think it’s right for your child!
One Memorial Place, Norfolk, Virginia 23510
If your child is a little more creative, Chrysler Museum of Art might just be for them! Your child will have a hands-on opportunity to explore different mediums so they can find the one that speaks to them. The museum offers programs for kids as young as the age of 6, and they have multiple camps throughout the summer. Your child will have a one-of-a-kind chance to work with an art educator and learn new ways to express themself!
2388 London Bridge Rd.Virginia Beach, VA 23456
Families with animal-loving children probably already know all about what the fun Hunt Club Farm has to offer. Now, little ones can go behind the scenes and learn how to care for all their favorite petting zoo friends! This absolutely wonderful Virginia Beach summer camp teaches campers all about feeding, grooming, horseback riding, fishing, and paddleboarding in 11, week-long camp sessions. The fun doesn’t stop with the excitement of feeding alpacas, though. The campers will also conquer the TreeWalk Adventure and play other farm games throughout the week.
2500 Shore Dr, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451
Junior Ranger Summer Camp is another outdoor option that meets at First Landing State Park. Their camp programs are a bit more limited with spots for up to 25 kids. This gives your child the chance to really plug in and have unforgettable adventures! The camp offers two programs: one for kids ages 6-8 and another for kids ages 9-12. There are new sessions that start each week starting in late June. This is such a fun option for the adventurous child!
If you are looking for a camp where your child can have the best time ever, be sure to check out these summer camps in Virginia Beach! Chances are, we have just the thing that feels custom-made for your family.
