4 Spots for Mini Golf in Virginia Beach for Simple, Fun, Family Days

Some afternoons you just need something simple that gets everyone out of the house. Mini Golf in Virginia Beach is one of those easy outings that works whether you have an hour to fill or want to build part of your day around it.

Whether you’re a local or vacationing here, these Mini Golf in Virginia Beach spots are the ones I recommend most often. They’re kid-friendly and fit naturally into real days, whether you’re already near the Oceanfront, heading toward Sandbridge, or looking for something fun for the whole family to add onto your plans.

Where to Play Mini Golf in Virginia Beach

Mini golf in Virginia Beach is spread across a few key areas since Virginia Beach is pretty big. The Oceanfront offers an easy option for vacationing families to add to a beach day or as a fun after dinner outing. Heading toward Sandbridge, you’ll find a quieter spot that feels truly local and more like part of a full outing. There are also a couple of options inland that work well when you want something different or are planning around weather or group size.

Oceanfront Mini Golf in Virginia Beach

Jungle Golf

302 23rd Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Jungle Golf is one of the most recognizable Mini Golf in Virginia Beach spots and easily the most popular at the Oceanfront. It’s an earned reputation. The course is fun, playable, and works well for the whole family, with easier holes that let younger kids feel successful and a few more challenging obstacles that keep teens and parents engaged.

The course winds through lush landscaping, so even though you’re right at the Oceanfront, it doesn’t feel like it the entire time. If your staying at the Oceanfront this is the perfect option.

It can be busy during peak summer season, but timing makes a difference. Morning openings tend to be quieter, and another good window is early evening, try an early dinner, and then head to course when many families are heading to dinner. Want to make the evening extra special try one of my favorite Ice Cream shops nearby when you’re done.

H2: Mini Golf Spots Near Sandbridge

Mr. A’s Adventure Golf at Anderson’s

1925 Fisher Arch, Virginia Beach, VA 23456

Anderson’s offers a different experience from most Mini Golf in Virginia Beach locations. Set within a garden center and boutique, it feels more like part of a larger outing than a quick stop.

The 18-hole course is easy to navigate, and the surrounding space gives you room to move at a slower pace compared to the busier Oceanfront spots.

What makes this location especially convenient is Sage Kitchen, the on-site restaurant. Being able to move from mini golf to lunch or dinner without getting back in the car makes the whole experience feel more complete.

Because of its location, it fits naturally into a day heading toward Sandbridge and is a great option if you are staying in a rental home on Sandbridge Beach, my personal favorite place to enjoy a beach day in VB. If you’re planning time in that area, I shared more ideas in my guide to Things to Do in Sandbridge.

Anderson’s has a steady flow of visitors during peak summer weekends, but for locals or families visiting in the shoulder season or on a weekday, it’s a fun, uncrowded option that feels truly local.

Mini Golf in Virginia Beach for All Ages

Topgolf Virginia Beach

5444 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462

While Topgolf isn’t mini golf in the traditional sense, it’s worth including for families with older kids or teens.

The climate-controlled bays and built-in games make it feel more structured than a quick round of mini golf, and the full food service means you can stay for a meal without needing to go somewhere else.

This is especially helpful for multi-generational groups, since everyone can participate at their own pace while staying together. If you’re considering Mini Golf in Virginia Beach but want something that works for a wider range of ages, this is a strong alternative.

On weekends, I recommend making a reservation to avoid a long wait.

Shipwreck Mini Golf at Ocean Breeze Waterpark

849 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Shipwreck Mini Golf is located alongside Ocean Breeze Waterpark but is operated separately by VB Motor World, which also runs several nearby attractions.

The course itself is larger than most, with 36 holes total, and has a nautical, shipwreck-inspired theme that runs throughout. It’s big, fun, and works well for a wide range of ages, not just younger kids.

Because it’s separate from the waterpark, it’s best treated as its own stop. I usually recommend planning mini golf either before or after your waterpark day, rather than trying to fit it in as a break.

It’s also a great option on its own if you’re looking for Mini Golf in Virginia Beach that gives you a little more to do than a quick round.

Making the Most of Time Spent Together

Mini golf is an easy family activity that doesn’t require you to spend a lot of time planning every detail. You show up, play a round, or two, and just enjoy each other.

An easy outing, a few laughs over missed shots, time spent outside together… those are the moments I remember from my own childhood and hopefully will be ones your family will reminisce about too.

That’s the season I love documenting, and my own childhood memories and family photos are the heart of the Mary Eleanor Photography experience.

If you find yourself wanting photographs that reflect what this stage really feels like, I’d love to help. I offer relaxed, thoughtfully guided sessions for families in Virginia Beach, creating heirloom artwork that becomes part of the legacy you carry forward.
